Refund Policy

COVID-related cancellation policy:

​

If you are no longer able to attend your booked tour due to covid travel restrictions and need to cancel at any time before the commencement of the tour, upon presentation of a medical certificate, you may receive your choice of either:

​

1. Monetary refund of the tour cost minus the booking deposit. (Booking deposit will be retained as credit which can be used for up to 2 years)

Or

   2. Full credit to transfer to a later tour with SV valid for up to 1 year.

Non-Covid Related Cancellations:

​

If you wish to cancel your tour:

​

1. 30 days or more prior to the departure date, you will receive a full refund minus the booking deposit.

2. between 14 and 29 days prior to the departure date, you will receive a 50% refund of the total booking cost.

3. within 14 days of the departure date, no refund will be given.

4. you may choose to receive FULL booking credit of the total value you paid for a future 'sids.ventures' tour instead of a refund if cancelling more than 14 days before the commencement of the tour. (Valid for 1 year)

5. If you wish to transfer to another 'sids.ventures' tour, you may do so up to 14 days before the trip originally commences. The transfer may be applied to the same trip at a later date or across to a new trip. There is no transfer fee but you may need to pay a difference in trip costs.

6. If you fail to join a tour or leave before its completion, you will not receive a refund for unused services.

7. Failure to pay the final amount owing for your tour on time (14 days prior to departure) will be a consideration of your booking as cancelled.

8. If SV is forced to cancel the tour at any time, the option of a refund of the entire cost minus the booking deposit or full credit (including deposit) for a future 'sids.ventures' tour will be offered.

General Terms:

By booking a multi-day remote camping tour with ‘sids.ventures’, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

​

1. The tour organiser, ‘sids.ventures’, reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather or natural disasters, or if there are not enough bookings to make the tour financially viable. In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling, ‘sids.ventures’ will provide a full refund or offer the option to reschedule the tour at a later date.

2. The tour operator reserves the right to change the itinerary and/or substitute any activities, accommodations, or transportation for any reason, including but not limited to safety, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

3. The tour operator reserves the right to terminate the participation of any participant who does not comply with these terms and conditions or who engages in behaviour that is detrimental to the safety or enjoyment of other participants.

4. The tour operator is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants as a result of changes to the itinerary or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. UKTNP Reg.12.27 is in place during the tours.

6. Participants must be in good physical health and capable of participating in the activities included in the tour, such as hiking and camping. ‘sids.ventures’ will not be held responsible for any injuries or health issues or other medical conditions that may occur during the tour.

7. Participants are responsible for their own medical insurance and medical expenses.

8. Participants must provide their own sleeping bag and personal effects unless otherwise specified by ‘sids.ventures’.

9. Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and equipment, and the tour operator is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

10. The tour will take place in remote areas of Australia, and participants must be prepared for the challenges and potential risks associated with travelling in these areas. ‘sids.ventures’ will provide basic first aid supplies and must be made aware of any pre-existing medical conditions, dietary requirements or allergies before the tour begins.

11. Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the tour operator and its staff, and must not engage in any activities that may be dangerous or harmful to themselves or others.

12. Participants must respect the local flora and fauna, and adhere to all state/federal laws as well as national and local park regulations.

13. Participants must provide their own transportation to and from the tour starting and ending points.

14. By participating in the tour, participants agree to allow ‘sids.ventures’ to use any photographs or videos taken during the tour for marketing and promotional purposes.

15. Payment for the tour is non-refundable unless the tour is cancelled by 'sids.ventures'. (See ‘refund policy’)

16. If the situation arises where the tour guide has not received adequate assistance from the group to run an optimal tour, it will restrict the tour from being the true 'sids.ventures' experience.

17. Tour prices and these terms and conditions are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the tour organiser.

18. By participating in this tour, participants agree to these terms and conditions and acknowledge that they have read and understood them.
